Circular Economy (and Bicycles)

Circular Economy (and Bicycles) Explainer Video

Dr. Courtney Szto, Assistant Professor at Queen’s University and member of the Mobilizing Sport and Sustainability Collective, explains the circular economy, referring to the 'life' of bicycles as an example.

This video was produced with UBC Studios, with particular thanks to Chris Spencer.

For additional information about the circular economy and bicycles, see Dr. Szto's article (with Brian Wilson) entitled Reduce, re-use, re-ride: Bike waste and moving towards a circular economy for sporting goods in the International Review for the Sociology of Sport.

Dr. Szto's research in this area can also be found in her award-winning documentary film entitled Revolutions.
